Letter to the European Parliament concerning pre-trial detention in the EU

On 15 June 2012 Fair Trials International and lawyers from across Europe (from Germany Criminal Lawyer Dr Gatzweiler) have written to Members of the European Parliament expressing concern about the failure to tackle unjustified pre-trial detention in the EU, which the Commission itself estimates costs almost €5 billion each year and unnecessarily ruins lives.
